Our freedoms and security, fought and died for by Canadians and their allies, are under attack. The biggest threats to our freedom are too much government, the eco-lobby, and censors posing as human rights commissions. Our biggest security threat is Islam.
That's how Don Cherry ended his introduction of Rob Ford as Toronto's new mayor. He had just finished a story about a lady who was mistreated and then stonewalled by City Hall, and how the day after Ford was sworn in she was compensated for her loss. He had also described the personal attacks from the left that he endured just for being asked to introduce Ford. That's because political liberals always resort to ad hominem attacks on non-liberals when threatened. Don Cherry is religious, so the left naturally hates him.
I fervently hope this inspires more public figures to speak out like Cherry about the damage that liberal thinking does in politics. Liberals in power will suspend all our rights and bankrupt everyone before they will admit their ideas are proven failures.
Liberal thinking people, such as Democratic supporters in America, (and in Canada, supporters of every party but the Conservatives) make excellent artists, musicians, live performers, and writers. They also have many obvious skills in business, from marketing to engineering. In fact, if you add them up, there are literally thousands of things liberal thinkers do extremely well.
Politics, however, is NOT one of them. And neither is public safety.
Liberal thinkers want to help and Save Something, Anything, Now! Often this means Every Single Person on earth. Often you find liberals who go further and equate humans with worms, and then it includes Every Creature We Know. It's their nature.
Unfortunately, liberal thinkers who get into politics also love government. BIG government and BIG taxes. They see it as their big chance to save the world with other peoples' money. Liberals live to govern; they see it as their calling. They spend their lives trying to convince us that we desperately need them to save us from every financial and personal risk that might ever happen.
Unfortunately when it comes to security they would rather impose more and more restrictions on their own people than truly fight the problem.
Political liberal thinking can be boiled down to a few words: "Just a few more taxes, nude body scanners and breast groping and we'll cure everything and protect everyone!" Sadly, most of the spending any government does is misdirected, wasted, or skimmed by the bureaucracy, lawyers, and the like. Most liberal government security dollars are wasted further on restricting innocent citizens' lives rather than on criminals and terrorists. They'd rather fondle our breasts and balls than focus on the real security threat, which is basically any Muslim. We have a lot less to show for our freedoms, economic health and personal security when liberals are doing the spending. It's their nature.
Liberals simply love to harness up wealth producers like horses to carry them and their grand plans along. They support ever expanding welfare schemes regardless of the taxpayers plight, because only they care. Plus, they OWN the rights to compassion®.
In dismissing people's objections to the latest groping and scanning security measures she lets out with this gem of collectivist propaganda:
"It's all about security," Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano said. "It's all about everybody recognizing their role."
Role? In what?
To her and all Obama's socialist brigades, it means WE exist to serve HER and Big Brother government. How 1984 can it get? Democrats (and in Canada, everyone but the Conservatives) live to run other people's lives. That and spending taxpayers' money is ALL they're good at.
Well, fcuk her. She and the rest of the Obama Socialist Brigade can (and hopefully will) be fired in two years. With any luck the Republicans can once again save America from liberals.
Today I read a quote from Obama at mail.com that made me think he's in WAY over his head. His latest excuse for his piss poor economic record is that he had NO idea of the size of the USA's economy when they elected him:
"I do get discouraged. I mean, there are times where I thought the economy would had gotten better by now," he said. "One of the things I think you understand as president is you're held responsible for everything. But you don't always have control of everything, especially an economy this big."
Yep, the sheer size of the US economy just blindsided him. Is he mentally retarded or just an over educated idiot? Your call.

I got a lesson in politically correct censorship recently. Google's crack team of Adsense mini-censors decided (after over two years of the site existing) to remove it from the Adsense program.
Near as I can tell, It's because someone decided that my material might somehow catch the attention of a Google ads client's lawyer somewhere who might say something to someone at Google about my material. At least that's all I can surmise without more info from the Great and Powerful OzGoogle. And in the next breath they say I don't get any traffic anyway. Just bullying for fun, maybe. Those crazy Google Adsense censors!

Right. I guess they haven't watched the video where she admits to f88king them by withholding her services because of their skin colour.
I don't know for sure about all the facts, but Ms Sharrod did admit that her dislike for whites caused her to withhold her normal best efforts to help because these people were white. Not only that, but the NAACP audience lapped it up! Can anyone imagine the media frenzy if you found a video of a white public official who said the same thing, no matter HOW long ago?
Who's investigating the possibility of racism in the NAACP, a group that promotes arguments and discriminatory laws based on skin colour? And who then profits financially by promoting the idea that blacks and whites should be eternal enemies and that whites and their descendants should pay in perpetuity for sins of their ancestors. I think that according to the NAACP, public policies should always be based on skin colour, insofar as these policies lead to preferential treatment for blacks.
I understand revenge but come fucking on, black leaders. There have been no legal, discriminatory laws creating barriers to black advancement for at least two generations now in North America.
These days, discrimination is reversed from the 60's and then some. Now, blacks can invent racism in anything and everything whites do. Every year, socialist-dominated governments transfers millions of taxpayers hard-earned dollars to our also publicly-paid, guilt-ridden, left-wing moocher class (socialist judges and lawyers) .
Official government White Discrimination is the reality of our current situation in public policy.

According to some liberals, white people are racists, plain and simple. However, it seems that blacks are perfectly free to practise the very thing they accuse whites of doing: discriminating against people because of their skin colour. This horrible woman is an Obama government appointee and brags to her audience about withholding her help from a white man. If a black man was refused an ice cream cone it would be the lead story in all the media. But if a black flunkie bureaucrat refuses to help a white person it's ok.
Of course the mainstream media is not interested. May they all rot in hell.

The nasty piece of work above is Shirley Sherrod, who just got canned by the US Agriculture secretary Tom Vilsack. That's sounds like great news until we learn that she is a professional race card player who earlier bilked millions out of taxpayers for class action discrimination lawsuits on behalf of black farmers.
If she stepped in front of a moving bus the world would be better off.

Ms Obama blames society for fat black kids. Like so many left wingers, she gives the PARENTS of these fat kids a complete pass. She is a hatred monger and a lawyer, which is a deadly combination.

Today, 66 years ago, thousands of brave young Canadians stood shoulder to shoulder with our allies from Britain and the United States and began the invasion that would liberate Europe from 6 years of war and suffering. Canada's Army would land at a place code named Juno Beach.
I am eternally proud to know how well our soldiers did in this awful struggle. They faced down a dug in enemy and advanced further that any other sector.

At Gates of Vienna tonight I watched a video by our own Michael Coren with "Sam", a Muslim scholar. Sam explains the true difference between Islam and other religions. While all religions have dark episodes in their histories, only one dictates that the violence and intolerance of their past is the only way and the just way to achieve domination over the world: Islam.

The U.S. Army has confirmed June 11 for an Article 32 hearing for a physician who is refusing to obey orders until Barack Obama provides documentation of his eligibility to be commander-in-chief of the nation's military.
The announcement comes today from the American Patriot Foundation, which operates the Safeguard Our Constitution website which is generating support for Lt. Col. Terrence Lakin. The organization said Lakin has refused to deploy to Afghanistan again, "because the president refuses – even in the face of mounting evidence to the contrary – to prove his eligibility under the Constitution to hold office."
The hearing is scheduled at 9 a.m. in Room 134 of Building T-2 at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington. The organization said all proceedings are open to the media and public.
It was Lakin's stance that convinced CNN, which had ignored or ridiculed the issue for months, to give it a prime time focus less than a week ago.

Because of the dearth of information about Obama's eligibility, WND founder Joseph Farah has launched a campaign to raise contributions to post billboards asking a simple question: "Where's the birth certificate?"
The campaign followed a petition that has collected more than 500,000 signatures demanding proof of his eligibility, the availability of yard signs raising the question and the production of permanent, detachable magnetic bumper stickers asking the question.
A new effort now asks those in authority regarding the nation's elections to demand the full proof.
The "certification of live birth" posted online and widely touted as "Obama's birth certificate" does not in any way prove he was born in Hawaii, since the same "short-form" document is easily obtainable for children not born in Hawaii. The true "long-form" birth certificate – which includes information such as the name of the birth hospital and attending physician – is the only document that can prove Obama was born in Hawaii, but to date he has not permitted its release for public or press scrutiny.
Oddly, though congressional hearings were held to determine whether Sen. John McCain was constitutionally eligible to be president as a "natural born citizen," no controlling legal authority ever sought to verify Obama's claim to a Hawaiian birth.
Lt. Col. Terry Lakin is the highest-ranking active-duty officer to refuse to obey orders based on President Obama's eligibility.
Another example of western weakness last week, courtesy of Viacom. According to the report by David Harsanyi, Viacom caved in to a threat by Muslim jihadists who call themselves Revolution Muslim.
In a brave challenge to tyranny and terror, Viacom decided to censor South Park and block out part of the image for its depiction of Muhammad in a recent episode. Oh the horror! Muslims have a bullshit phobia about Muhammad the Child Molester being shown in any visual media. Too f-ing bad is what we SHOULD say, instead of bending over like Viacom did.*
Viacom is downright happy to allow attacks on another religious figure, though. They believe that Jesus Christ makes a wonderful target of ridicule. Maybe because Christians don't threaten to kill their enemies like Muslims do.

Congratulations to all our athletes for representing our country so well. There were triumphs and disappointments as always, but I am proud of the efforts of all our athletes. We set a record for winter gold medals, PLUS we won both men's AND women's hockey. Win or lose, all of our athletes gave their all and we should be proud of each and every one of them.

Rumors are swirling that if you drive down I-35 in Minnesota, you'll see a billboard featuring a smiling George W. Bush accompanied by the question "Miss me yet?"
This was initially discredited as a photoshopped hoax, but it's real. But the dual mysteries surrounding who paid for the ad, and their motivation, remain. Are they Obama supporters sarcastically hoping to remind people about George W., or Bush fans sincerely yearning for the "good" days of the past administration?
Mary McNamara, the manager at the Minneapolis office of Schubert & Hoey Outdoor Advertising, the company which owns and leases out the billboard, says: "The ad was purchased by a group of small business owners who wish to remain anonymous." However, "some people in the group were Obama supporters."
The Hubble Telescope's new Wide Field Camera captured this image of what scientists believe is the result of a collision between two asteroids. What an incredible photo.
"The X marks the spot of a suspected head-on collision between two asteroids imaged by the Hubble Space Telescope’s new-and-improved Wide Field Camera.
If it’s confirmed by further observations, it would be the first time that scientists have detected the interplanetary collision between objects in the asteroid belt, though they believe that such occurrences are common.
The complex structure of the debris is what makes astronomers think they may be seeing something new around the sun. The main nucleus of the object, P/2010 A2, is actually located outside its dust halo, something that’s never been seen in a comet-like object before.
“The filamentary appearance of P/2010 A2 is different from anything seen in Hubble images of normal comets, consistent with the action of a different process,” said David Jewitt, an astronomer at the University of California Los Angeles, in a press release.
They hypothesize that the filaments are made up of dust and gravel created by a high speed impact that could have occurred at 11,000 miles per hour.
“If this interpretation is correct, two small and previously unknown asteroids recently collided, creating a shower of debris that is being swept back into a tail from the collision site by the pressure of sunlight,” Jewitt said.

Jack Cafferty of CNN nails Nancy Pelosi's ass to the wall, exposing her December 09 trip to the climate conference in Copenhagen. While ordinary Americans are cutting back and suffering, she takes off using 3 military jets for an entourage of elected officials and their families while staying in the finest hotels. THEN she refuses to answer questions about it. I don't think many Americans realize they have a Queen as Head of State.
I think Pelosi, who orchestrated the sub prime mortgage disaster, is the biggest threat to the economic health of the USA today with her socialist philosophy, exposed via her promotion of the Climate Change economic shakedown. And, like Gore, Carter, and many other Democrats, she's a Classical Hypocrite. Which is to say that she and most liberals grab power by claiming to feel voters' pain more than conservatives. Afterward, of course, they dive headfirst in to the pork barrel far deeper than any conservative, for they know only how to tax and spend, not produce.
Conservatives don't lie to voters by claiming that everyone can be helped as liberals do. They know it is impossible, no matter how many tax dollars and bureaucrats you throw at the problem.
Marvin Olansky has a great column in Townhall today, where he describes how liberal bellweathers like Jon Stewart and Maureen O'Dowd are criticizing the Obama administration. I hope that Mr Olasky is on to a trend here. Maybe even liberals are starting to realize what a loser they have in Obama and will drift away from him and not support his "re-coronation" after all. It would make things easier for the Repubs to bring sanity back to the White House.
I especially liked this quote by Mr Olasky:
