The Left is made up of control freaks and socialists. Always has been, always will be. They take taxes from you and me to tell you and me what we're doing wrong at any given moment. Since the collapse of the Left's preferred method of control (communism) failed, they have been desperate for another way to enslave humans with Big Government. That Beast is called Environmentalism, and its latest spawn is a parasite of guilt that attempts to attach blame to man for any and all change to our climate.
The Left has a long, dark history of making up lies about the earth's true health (that millions of ignorant and self-flagellating people sadly believe). Lately this has meant blaming man for the temperature of the Earth and using it as a stick to "extract" money from the "rich" west. The Left has appointed themselves as high priests of the Environment, painting the West as villains. Now they want jobs giving our money (via carbon taxes) to despots, dictators, loser nations and failed states who still haven't figured out how to feed themselves and conduct themselves civilly, nearly 10 years into the 21st century.
You could move every one of us evil westerners to a third world country and move every non-western, failed-state, socialist/communist citizen to our countries, and within 20 years we would be richer than them.
See the hard facts about the Earth here. Sorry, lefties. Man doesn't affect the Earth's temperature and socialists will eventually lose, again, as every idea they ever have does.

During the Phanerozoic, CO2 levels have at times been more than 1,500% higher than present, but temperatures have never been more than 10C higher than present. So how does a projected 30% increase in CO2 produce a 7C temperature rise in their models? During the late Ordovician, there was an ice age with CO2 levels about 1000% of current levels. Hopefully the newspaper headlines don’t accurately represent the content of the article.

Finally, does their name (”Centre for Global Climate Change“) hint at a possible inherent bias in their raison d’être? What “rapid and massive action” do they want us to engage in?"
