Back in December 08 I wrote about the fund set up by Pamela Geller at Atlas Shrugs to raise funds for a memorial to Aqsa Parvez. She is the Brampton, Ontario girl who was murdered in 2007 by her father (with her brother as an accessory), for disobeying her father's Islamic beliefs and wishes.
At Atlas Shrugs today I read the words of Scott McLeod, the firefighter who spearheaded the drive by the town council of Pelham to donate a place to remember Aqsa. She died for wanting to be Canadian, and for that we must remember her. Thanks to the Town and citizens of Pelham for their gift.
Read about the Aqsa Memorial saga here: thanks, Pamela.
