Here are some incredible photos I received in an email today. The photographer who made these images is Clark Little, and his website is here. Text below is quoted from the email.

"It all started in 2007 when Clark's wife wanted a nice piece of art to decorate a wall.

Voluntarily, Clark grabbed a camera, jumped in the water, and starting snapping away capturing the beauty and power of monstrous Hawaiian waves from the inside out.

" Clark's view" is a unique view of the ocean that most will only be able to experience safely on land while studying one of Clark's photos.

Now with a camera upgrade and an itch to get that better shot, Clark has taken this on full time and has moved his office from land, to the inside of a barrel.

Climategate. It's got a nice ring to it. I especially like the irony: finally, a "gate" for liberals! A suffix the Left has used ad-freakin'-nauseum for many years (in place of original thought) is now being wielded against them, and they're squealing like stuck pigs over it!

By now most people have heard about left wingers, posing as scientists, discussing via email how to manipulate data and suppress information in order to deceive the public regarding the earth's natural temperature cycles. We can only imagine the lies and bullshit that they talked about on the phone.

The Western Left has finally been exposed for the liars and frauds they are. Their side is made up of conniving, vested interest power whores who lust for Big Brother*, also known as Big Government. Right now they're busy trying to cover up the truth found in these emails, so that the proletariats* will go back to sleep, still believing the fraud.

Every issue the Left promotes, always for the benefit of the people of course, is actually a coldly calculated grasp for more power and control of our lives. That and the officially sanctioned theft of capital from producers* in the developed west to moochers* around the world. Blaming man for global warming is nothing more than their latest and most dangerous scheme, which is to create a global "eco-government" that will dictate every aspect of our lives.

The current British fetish for security cameras is a disturbing foreshadowing of the telescreen* in every home that the Left truly wants.

Canada will not cave in quietly to the Global Warming Fraud

Good news this week. It appears that our Conservative government will not bend over and take it up the economic pooper in Copenhagen (what a loserville place to debate world issues anyway) in order to satisfy the western econut lobby. Unlike the rest of our limp noodle political parties, the Conservatives seem bent on defending our country, its culture, and its right to exist. Plus they know that it is all a scam.

The self hating liberals that infest western democracies want us to surrender our wealth and children's futures so that the overpopulated third world can catch up to us economically, without actually having to modernize (or liberalize!) themselves or their cultures. THEY are free to produce more babies than they can afford and then demand that you and I pay for their children and ultimately their culture. And all of it with no regard for their own "carbon footprints".

It's as though they're demanding a guaranteed income from us while they ignore every pollution problem we've recognized and solved. The Western left, which wants one-world, UN style government, is only too happy to volunteer our wealth to the third world in exchange for one-government power.

Anyone taking the time to look at the posts and links here at CBF (and the Why This Blog at the bottom) would realize that I have nothing but the greatest respect for our military. Seven months ago I passed along an email discussing our elite snipers and their mission in Afghanistan. It came with a video that the sender said showed MY Canadian soldiers killing terrorists for and with American soldiers.

Months after I posted it, a foul-mouthed troll named elsa stumbled in and out of here and blew a gasket about the video (in stark contrast to thousands of other viewers). Here's a sampling of his bile:

So the mild mannered genius'  first words (calling me and thousands of others "retards") weren't actually rude and inflammatory? What bullshit. It was nothing BUT inflammatory, with a side order of lying (there's lots more elsa poo being flung if you read the rest of his "comments").

Upon reflection, maybe the Shakespeare Whisperer doesn't actually TRY to be rude and obnoxious. Maybe it just comes naturally to him.

Smothering Society: Who benefits from all the new safety laws the Left creates?

If your first answer wasn't "Lawyers", you might just be one.

The left parades every new safety law (personal and workplace) with their usual "just-savin'-the-world-again" smugness. What they NEVER do is go back to see if their last "save the world law" had any effect in a statistical way or not.

The only sure thing about the passage of more and more laws is that lawyers get richer and more numerous, and we all become more like slaves of the state.

How the Left suffocates our Freedom, Part I: Personal Injury

Tonight I caught the end of a story on TV about new major league baseball helmets being introduced that can withstand a 100 mph fastball. The players, being practical, say they don't want a 12 pound box on their heads. OK, I thought, someone with lots of money to burn wants the pros to buy his helmet, and he'll learn about the marketplace the hard way. Then the segment ended by saying that there are plans to make it mandatory for minor leagues and hope it spreads up into the big leagues.

When I asked my wife if the story said how many people were killed by fastballs she said they profiled two people with brain damage. Two people out of a population of millions? The average calculator doesn't show that many decimal places. What seems to be happening in the west is that the left has decreed that ALL of society must grieve and pass laws to eliminate risk after each and every death or injury.

The individual stories are very sad, and I feel sorry for those who suffer. The problem is we all suffer at one time or another. The goal of ending suffering, as exemplified by 100 mph helmets is one more example of how, if nothing changes, we will eventually cease to be free.

We cannot be free if our risk policy is that one injury or death should compel the majority to turn their moderate approach to risk into a panic mode approach. We are now mourning ALL the time about something, and I don't care how many scary pictures of injured people you show me, nothing you or I do will ever stop people from getting hurt. What WILL change is that we'll eventually have to get Big Brother's permission for everything, and we'll STILL have all kinds of accidental suffering.

It is a characteristic of the Left to pass laws that limit what we can do in the name of their never-ending quest to eliminate risk in life. They don't care how many things they ban, or how long it takes. The Left continues to smother and stifle society in the name of safety.

The black Harvard professor Henry Gates is a race baiter. People like him don't want harmony between blacks and whites. They want continual strife so that they can fake their way through life studying and magnifying "problems" that the rest of us are getting over. There is MORE harmony in the world than before; far more than those like Gates would ever admit. People like Henry Gates, who make a living perpetuating the race issue, have boulder-sized chips on their shoulder and should be shunned, not admired. What a jerk.

Gates should be tied down and forced to watch Chris Rock explain civil society (even in terms a white-hating fop like Gates would comprehend) in a sketch from Rock's TV show in 2007. The YouTube poster of this particular video named it "How not to get arrested by the police", perhaps to make it more relevant to "Gatesgate" (aka "How to Perpetuate Hate", by Henry Gates). For Gates the relevant tip would be "Be Polite". If Gates can't manage that from his lofty post as Race Baiting Hero/Role Model for Blacks, he doesn't deserve an ounce of pity. This is his fault.

The news that Bernard Madoff was sentenced to 150 years in prison for fraud surprised no one. Here was a golden opportunity for the left to nail freedom in the balls again. A chance to shriek out like little girls, saying, "See?! Capitalism doesn't work! Just LOOK at this greedy man!"

Of course the guy was a douchebag. Of course he ruined lives. He wasn't the first and he is not the worst. What he definitely was not was a typical businessman. Yet his conviction is a rallying point for the non-productive left that we need to have government run our lives even more.

So who are the real fraud artists? The true criminals who precipitated the financial mess that surrounds us?

#1 The Democratic Party of the United States in general, including the specific mentions below:

#2 Jimmy Carter, champion of the Community Reinvestment Act that issued loans based on colour of skin to buy the votes of minorities, giving them mortgages they couldn't afford. Then he pressured banks to do his bidding.

#5 Every one of the stock traders that passed the tainted paper backed by the useless mortgages Jimmy and his Democratic spawn created. They COULD have said no. They COULD have been honourable, but they were not.

These people (and many more) should go to jail forever. By their willful distortion of the true free market, they have caused more suffering and loss of wealth than 100 Bernie Madoffs.

May these criminals someday, somehow be punished for their crimes.

The CG referenced Chuck Norris' website, and from there I followed the link to Snopes which confirmed its validity. This letter is from an influential businessman, Lou Pritchett, who has 36 years of experience dealing with politicians. He does a masterful job of explaining the reasons why we should, and must challenge the mainstream media and Obama worshippers about the threat to what used to be the most free country on earth.

This is so good I decided to reprint it all (thank you Baron). I found it over at Gates of Vienna. Europe has a far more serious case of Islamic aggression than we do so it's good to know that they are fighting back.

Manifesto Against Sharia

I became acquainted with the Wiener Akademikerbund through our Austrian correspondent ESW, and was fortunate enough to meet a number of the group’s members during my visit to Austria for the Counterjihad Vienna meeting this time last year.

The Akademikerbund is in the forefront of efforts to confront and roll back the Islamization of Europe. I reported last fall on its “Fifteen Demands” for Islamic reform in Austria, as showcased during the forum on Euro-Islam (from which Tariq Ramadan withdrew at the last minute).

More recently the Akademikerbund brought to my attention a parallel effort in Germany known as the “Manifesto Against Sharia”. Piggy Infidel has kindly translated the Manifesto into English:

Acknowledging mistakes

The majority of terrorist attacks during the last three decades, including the 9/11 attacks, have been carried out by fundamentalists in the name of Islam, specifically based on the Koran. For us as Muslims it is despicable that Islam is being used to murder millions of innocent people, non-Muslims as well as Muslims

Contradictions in the Koran

There are unfortunately religious texts in the Koran, as well as in the Hadith, that call for Islamic supremacy and incite violence against non-Muslims. It is time to change this. Islamic fundamentalists believe the Koran is the literal word of Allah. But could Allah the Compassionate really order the mass murder of people just because they are not Muslims?

The Koran and the Bible

Many biblical figures, from Adam to Jesus, are recognised and respected as prophets in Islam. Islamic scholars believe, however, that both the old and new Testaments are from God, but that they have been falsified by Jews and Christians. Could it be possible that the Koran itself has been falsified by Muslims during the last thirteen centuries?

The Necessity of Reform

Islam in its current form is not compatible with the principles of freedom and democracy. Muslims have two possibilities: We can continue with the barbaric practices of the seventh century and with the politics of Hassan al-Bannah, Abdullah Azzam, Yassir Arafat, Ruhollah Khomeini, Osama Bin Laden, the Muslim Brotherhood, al-Qaida, Hizbullah, Hizb-ut-Tahrir, etc. This will lead to a global war between the Islamic world and the West.

Or we could reform Islam, keeping our rich cultural heritage and cleansing our religion of the ugly relics of the past. We as Muslims who want to live in harmony together with people of other religions, agnostics and atheists, choose the latter possibility. We have to protect future generations of Muslims from the brainwashing of Islamic fundamentalists. If we fail to prevent the spread of fundamentalism, some of our children will become murderous terrorists.

Accepting Responsibility

To begin this healing process we have to remove the evil that has been carried out by Muslims in the name of Islam, and we have to accept responsibility for these misdeeds. We have to remove the bad passages from the Islamic texts, so that future Muslims are not confused by contradictory statements. Our religious message should be clear: Islam is peace, Islam is love, Islam is the light. War, murder, violence, division and discrimination are not Islamic values.

Private Religious Sphere

Religion is the private affair of each individual. It should be possible for any person to practice his religion freely, so long as that religion does not break local laws, and no one should be forced into any religious practice. Any type of belief which is spread through violence is fundamentally immoral and is no longer a religion, but rather a political ideology.

Equality

Islam is one of many world religions. There will be no peace and harmony in the world if Muslims and non-Muslims do not have equal rights. The doctrine of Islamic supremacy is just as repellant as the doctrine of Aryan supremacy. History has shown us what happens to societies whose members see themselves as superior to other peoples. All moderate Muslims have to reject the notion of Islamic supremacism.

Sharia

Sharia law has to be abolished; it is incompatible with the rules of a modern society.

Outdated Practices

Any customs which may have been acceptable in the seventh century, such as stoning, limb amputation, marriage/sex with children or animals, must be condemned by all Muslims.

Outdated verses

The following verses encourage division and religious hatred, fanaticism, and discrimination. They either have to be removed from the Koran or else declared as obsolete and irrelevant: Sura 9:111, Sura 8:55, plus many more.

Out-dated words and phrases

Use of the following words and phrases as well as all their variations must be banned from religious ceremonies:

• Unbeliever — this has a negative connotation and leads to division and aversion from others; Islam is not the only religion.
  
• Jihad — often interpreted as holy war against non-Muslims.
  
• Mujahideen — no more wars in the name of Islam.
  
• American occupation (or Christian/Israeli/Zionist) — these expressions lead to fanaticism. To date, Muslims living in non-Muslim countries enjoy far more freedoms than Muslims in the Islamic world.

Islam against Violence

There is no place for violence in Islam. Anyone calling for violence in the name if Islam must be ejected from Islam. All instances of this must be brought before the relevant authorities. It is the religious and civic duty of all Muslims to condemn any act of terrorism carried out in the name of Islam. Any Muslim group which has connections to terrorism in any way, shape or form, has to be totally condemned by both religious and secular Muslims alike.

Artistic Depictions of the Prophet

Although artistic representations of the prophet are unacceptable in Islam and considered insulting by many Muslims, other religions do not share these restrictions. Therefore the artistic representation of the prophet must be protected as a basic freedom of expression.

The Crusades and the Inquisition

While the Inquisition was a repressive period of Christian fundamentalism, the Crusades were not unprovoked acts of aggression. They were actually attempts to take Christian areas back from under Muslim control. They were hardly known about by the Islamic world at the time, and are nowadays being used by Islamic fundamentalists simply as propaganda against Christians. We reject such propaganda and are starting a critical review of the history of brutal Islamic warfare.

The Millau Viaduct

Below is the text that accompanied this photo in an email I received. I'd love to cross this puppy in the Charger! (Click above image to see the whole bridge).

"The Millau Viaduct is part of the new E11 expressway connecting Paris and Barcelona and features the highest bridge piers ever constructed. The tallest is 240 meters (787 feet) high and the overall height is an impressive 336 meters †(1102 feet), making this the highest bridge in the world. It's taller than the Eiffel Tower.


Interestingly, the Millau Viaduct is not straight. Why? It's because a straight road could induce a floating sensation as you drive across it. So, a slight curve remedies that feeling.


The curve is 20km in range. Moreover, the road has a light incline of 3% to improve the visibility and reassure the driver.

Obama wants to weaken America

I ran across a story about Obama in USA Today and couldn't resist commenting. He announces that he might prosecute his own spies for breaking rules that his party invented and didn't exist when they were operative. What a tool. By that I mean, implement, of course. He's talking about gutting the infrastructure to fight terror that Bush created.

Say whatever you want about Bush, but you cannot deny that he kept America safe. Now the puppet wants to dismantle this safety net, it seems.

From USA Today:

"President Obama on Tuesday opened the possibility of prosecution for Bush-era lawyers who authorized brutal interrogation of terror suspects and suggested Congress might order a full investigation."

This is nothing less than a coup d'état from the left. How else to describe the plan to conduct a Stalinistic purge of your ideological enemies? The Big Left elects Obama, who follows their instructions and then changes the rules of engagement which, in liberal minds, allows past tense prosecution. As in Orwell predicted in 1984, the left now re-writes history and the rules and then conducts their thought-crime hunts.

"Less than a week after declaring it was time for the nation to move on rather than "laying blame for the past," Obama found himself describing what might be done next to investigate what he called the loss of "our moral bearings." "

Once again his words prove that Obama is a puppet of the left. They yanked his chain, and he obeyed. The part about loss of moral bearings is both ironic and typical left wing arrogance. Ironic because the left sees its job as the dismantling of every norm and custom that deals with civility, common sense, and responsibility. Moral bearings? The left has destroyed them.

It's arrogant because this no-record, "Present" voting, conniving, speech-reader, the best person the left could find, has the temerity and the gall to lecture his fellow citizens about moral bearings. What a joke!

Obama is the one who befriended and worked for a terrorist bomber who killed people in the 60's and never went to jail for it (Ayers). Obama is the one who followed a racist minister for 20 years and then bull-shitted us that he never really heard the guy's sermons (Wright). Obama is the one who did business with a convicted felon (Rezko).

What a fine, moral man, this Obama!

So the left, via their proxy Obama, is again going to attack and weaken the intelligence service. Just like they did during Clinton's era. You know, the one that gave us Bin Laden and his murderous army of savages.

God help us freedom lovers. Our enemies and all THEIR spies are laughing at Obama even as they shake his hand. They can't believe their luck.

Today is Vimy Ridge Day

Today we remember a day when Canadian soldiers attacked and took a seemingly impregnable obstacle during World War I. It was the first time that Canada's soldiers had all fought together. From April 9, the day the attack began, through April 12, almost four thousand brave Canadians made the supreme sacrifice. They did it for us and our freedom, and they must never be forgotten. God bless them and all Canadian soldiers, past and present.

These photos are from our visit to Vimy in 2006, during the restoration of the monument for 2007, the 90th anniversary. We didn't see the actual monument this day, but our emotions were tested just the same.
